The theme of Saturday&#8217;s, 3 p.m. concert is &#8220;American Tributes,&#8221; featuring music by beloved American composers as well as music selections that represent American music culture.<\/p>\n<p>The concert takes place in the 1200-seat auditorium at Stone Memorial High School in Crossville. For your pet-boarding needs, please call Bed &#038; Biscuit at (931) 456-8685.<\/p>\n<p>Music selections for this concert will include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>That&#8217;s Entertainment<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Napoli<\/strong> &#8211; featuring our principal euphonium soloist, Briana Englebert &#8211; Vogt<br \/>\n<strong>An American in Paris<\/strong>, by composer George Gershwin<br \/>\n<strong>Invincible Eagle March<\/strong>, by the &#8220;March King,&#8221; John Philip Sousa<br \/>\n<strong>Yakety Tuba<\/strong> &#8211; a &#8220;tuba-take&#8221; on the tune American sax musician Boots Randolph made famous, &#8220;Yakety Sax,&#8221; featuring SSSB tubist Douglas Black on this rendition<br \/>\n<strong>Overture to Candide<\/strong>, a fast-paced Leonard Bernstein composition<br \/>\n<strong>An Olympic Spirit<\/strong>, in honor of the coming 2024 summer Olympics in Paris in July. This was the first of many Olympic themes composed by John Williams of movie soundtrack fame.<br \/>\n<strong>Ghostbusters<\/strong>, the theme from the original Ghostbusters film  Way Down Yonder in New Orleans, featuring a cornet trio on this well-known Dixieland tune<br \/>\n<strong>American Rhapsody<\/strong>, a medley of folk tunes from American pioneer times<br \/>\n<strong>Feather Theme<\/strong> &#8211; from the movie &#8220;Forrest Gump,&#8221;<br \/>\n<strong>Bandstand Boogie<\/strong> &#8211; memories of Dick Clark&#8217;s TV hit show &#8220;American Bandstand&#8221;<br \/>\nAnd last but not leastm, our official U.S. march, John Philip Sousa&#8217;s <strong>The Stars and Stripes Forever<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This concert program line-up is sure to please the audience with its variety of music styles and genres presented with the SSSB&#8217;s signature &#8220;Premium Entertainment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tickets can be obtained in advance at the following locations:  <\/p>\n<p>\u2014 First National Bank of TN branches in Crossville and in Fairfield Glade<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 SDP Financial Services in the Village Mall in Fairfield Glade<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bed &#038; Biscuit Kennel off of Peavine Road<\/p>\n<p>They will also be available at the door on Feb. 17. Single ticket prices are $22 for Adults, and Students are admitted FREE.<\/p>\n<p>A SHORT-SEASON TICKET SPECIAL OFFER is in effect at an especially good bargain rate of $35 which provides admission for both the Feb. 17 concert as well as the final concert of this season which  is on Sunday, May 5. This is a 20% discount versus the $44 price of purchasing a separate ticket for both concerts.<\/p>\n<p>The May 5 concert theme is Castles, Highlands, and Moors which will showcase music from Britain, Scotland, and Ireland.
