The concerts henceforth are going to be held in the brand new, 1200-seat auditorium at Cumberland County High School, located off of Miller By-pass at 660 Stanley St. in Crossville. It is very straightforward and convenient to drive to CCHS if coming from Peavine Road.\u00a0 Just cross over I-40 and continue straight through the roundabout, stay on Miller By-pass until you see CCHS on the left with their full size &#8220;Blue Angel&#8221; jet in front of the school.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The SSSB has been recognized by the TN State legislature with the honor of being named the <b>\u201cOfficial Brass Band of Tennessee.\u201d <\/b>This honor was designated because of the SSSB&#8217;s financial and in-kind contributions to the Cumberland Co. school system&#8217;s fine arts programs; their national recognition via invitation to perform at the Great American Brass Band Festival on three occasions; their donations to support local charitable nonprofits such as Hospice, Bread of Life Ministries, House of Hope, Avalon, and CASA; and their &#8220;Premium Entertainment&#8221; concert programs for which their audiences give rave ratings.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>For the Sept. 21, 2025 concert,\u00a0<b>Best of Brass<\/b>, their program will showcase the diversity of music variety for which they have become known. <b>&#8220;Land of Freedom<\/b><b>&#8221;\u00a0<\/b>will open the concert with a march by the retired former arranger of the US Marine Band &#8211; Stephen Bulla; <b>&#8220;Simple Gifts&#8221; &#8211;<\/b> the well known hymn; <b>&#8220;Circle of Life&#8221;<\/b> theme from Disney&#8217;s Lion King; Gustav Holst&#8217;s\u00a0 &#8220;<b>Jupiter&#8221;\u00a0<\/b>from his classic composition of &#8220;The Planets&#8221;; <b>&#8220;Gabriel&#8217;s Oboe&#8221;\u00a0<\/b>from the Movie &#8220;Mission; the themes from the original movie <b>&#8220;Wizard of Oz&#8221;; &#8220;Let There\u00a0 Be Light&#8221;\u00a0<\/b>a rousing selection typical of contemporary Brass band compositions; &#8220;<b>Lullaby of Birdland&#8221;<\/b> flugelhorn solo by TTU professor Chris McCormick; <b>&#8220;Explosion Polka&#8221;\u00a0<\/b>by Strauss; the Latin flavor of <b>&#8220;Tico, Tico&#8221;<\/b>, and the finish with everyone&#8217;s favorite\u00a0<b>&#8220;When the Saints Go Marching In&#8221;.<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Advance tickets are currently available at:<br \/>\nFirst National Bank of TN branches in Crossville and Fairfield Glade (Food\u00a0 City), and at Atlas Realty in the Village Mall in Fairfield Glade.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ticket prices have been unchanged for 10 seasons with a single Adult at $22, and students admitted FREE. Season tickets for the three concert series are a savings at $50.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The other concerts are on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 3pm, and Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 3pm.
